The 3020 project tries to imagine how e-waste, the physical waste of the immaterial digital age, interferes with the geological processes of the next millennium. New gems made from resin and waste USB cables are set into silver sheets. The graphic patterns are an attempt to unite digital features and natural rock texture: in T 03, the deformation waves typical of metamorphic rocks become a wind of bits, a visual representation of the digital data flow that fills cyberspace.
