Melis Agabigum
When you were my Home (Bracelet). 2019.
11,5×14,6×7,2 cm.
Copper, enamel, waxed cotton.
My works are driven by personal experience and the search for semblance in my connections to others. I move enamel into a place of fragility, calcification, and unsettlement through over and underfiring. As the piece is worn over time, it transforms; this evolution betrays the materials through their vulnerability. These dichotomies drive my concepts which embrace the less than beautiful aspects of being.
